Your digital handyman
Blue Ridge, GAI’m the person you call when you don’t know who to call. Something’s broken? I’ll fix it. Need something built? I’ll build it. Need it automated? I’ll wire it up. If I don’t know the solution, I’ll find it.
Who I am
I’m a generalist. Not a specialist who does one thing well and nothing else—a generalist who can look at almost any tech problem and figure out a path forward. Electronics repair, web development, 3D printing, IoT, automation, firmware, data recovery, consulting—if it plugs in, connects, or runs code, it’s probably something I can help with.
Gorton Solutions is owner-operated. You deal with the person who actually does the work—not a front desk, not a ticket system, not a call center. I’ll tell you what’s actually going on, what it’ll cost, and whether it’s worth doing. No upsell, no runaround.
Think of it like having a tech-savvy friend who happens to do this for a living. The kind of person you text when your laptop won’t boot, your smart home is acting up, or you have an idea for a gadget and don’t know where to start.
What I do
Four service lanes—most jobs touch more than one.
How I work
Honest assessment, upfront
Before any work starts, we agree on the goal and the approach. If something isn’t worth fixing, or a different path would serve you better, I’ll tell you. No work proceeds without your sign-off.
Clear pricing, no surprises
Every job gets a clear estimate upfront. Build and automation projects are scoped and quoted before work begins. You always know what the next step costs before I take it.
Written results
Every completed job comes with a summary of what was found, what was done, and the outcome. If something passed testing, it’s documented. If it failed, that’s documented too.
- Board-level fault isolation—consumer electronics, industrial controls, custom PCBs
- Component-level repair: replacing a single bad part, not the whole board
- Websites, web apps, and custom software tools
- IoT setups, smart home wiring, and automation workflows
- 3D-printed parts, prototypes, and small-batch fabrication
- Data recovery from failing drives and devices
- Tech consulting—second opinions, project scoping, vendor evaluation
