Who we are

Gorton Solutions is an owner-operated tech services business based in Blue Ridge, GA. This policy covers all data collected through our website at gorton-solutions.web.app (and any custom domain pointing to it).

What we collect

We only collect information that you voluntarily provide or that is necessary for our services to function.

• Chat conversations — When you use the AI intake chat, your messages, name, phone number, email, and project description are stored in our Firebase Firestore database so we can follow up on your inquiry.
• Game leaderboard data — If you sign in with Google to post a leaderboard score on one of our engagement games (Cosmic Drift, Snake), your Google display name, profile photo URL, and score are stored in Firebase Realtime Database.
• Local storage — Some games (Block Stacker) store your high score in your browser’s local storage only—this data never leaves your device.
• Theme preference — Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It is never sent to us.

We do not currently use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate notice.

How we use your information

• Chat data is used solely to respond to your inquiry, prepare a quote, or schedule service. When your intake conversation is complete, a summary email is sent to our team so we can follow up with you.
• Leaderboard data is used only to display scores on the game leaderboard. We do not use it for marketing or share it with third parties.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate our website:

• Google Firebase (Hosting, Cloud Functions, Firestore, Realtime Database, Authentication) — governed by Firebase Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini AI — powers the intake chat assistant. Your messages are sent to Google’s Gemini API for processing. Google’s API data usage policies apply.
• Google Sign-In — used for optional leaderboard authentication. We receive your display name, email, and profile photo URL from Google. We do not access any other Google account data.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone outside of the services listed above.

Data retention

• Chat conversations are retained in Firestore indefinitely so we can reference your inquiry if you contact us again. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.
• Leaderboard scores are retained as long as the game is active. You may request removal of your scores by emailing us.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your data from our systems.
• Withdraw consent — stop using our chat or leaderboard features at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@gortonsolutions.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our backend runs on Google Cloud infrastructure with Firebase’s built-in security controls. Access to our Firebase project is limited to the business owner.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
